The Horses

Trucker

Trucker is a 11 year old Bay Hackney Gelding.
Definitely the "Golden Boy" of all the horses.  He really enjoys his time away from the barn.  Long trips in the carts is his specialty. Driving is his main job around here, but he has been known to wear a saddle.

Biggz

Big Mama is a 12 year old American Quarter Horse Mare.  Sorrel in color, with a blaze and stockings.  Biggz as she is known around the barn oversees every event that happens around here. Showing others who is boss, and giving her owner kisses for treat is what she enjoys doing best.  More rarely than occasionally she will wear a saddle for a mountain ride.

The Haflingers

Busted Luck & Lady Luck

This amazing team of siblings joined the herd in 2016 to give us more muscle and size for our horse drawn vehicles.

Lucky is 11 years old
Lady is 9 years old

These two are bonded at the hip.  They love working together, and do an amazing job, but they also work solo when needed.

Lucky is known as the Brawn because he is really strong.

Lady is known as The Pretty One.  But don't let her pretty looks fool you!  She can hold her own when it comes to working, but she will also stand for hours to get brushed and braided.

Shiloh

Shiloh is a 5 year old Tri Color Paint Hackney Cross Mare.

Being pretty, and keeping the pasture grass from getting too high is her only job around here.  Shiloh will start training to become a driving pony in the Fall of 2017.

Jema

Jemma is a 5 year old Bay Hackney Mare with a star on her forehead.  Because of her size, Jemma has been a companion to everyone else giving her body time to strengthen before she begins training.  Jemma is very shy, because she is the lowest on the totem pole; but when you rattle the treat bucket she quickly gets over being shy.

Olive and Kelso

Olive joined us in the summer of 2016 through a friend.  Olive is a wild burro captured and adopted out.  When she arrived here she still had a lasso around her neck to be able to catch her.  Fast Fwd to April 24 2017 and Kelso was born.

Black as soot, wild as buck, sweet as a lollipop Baby Kelso just showed up one morning.  Olive had been gaining weight rapidly, but we had no clue if she was pregnant or just eating a lot.  One morning at feeding time she was in her stall and breathing hard and laying down. SHES GIVING BIRTH!  So a few hours later I ame back to check on her just in time to see Baby Kelso come into the world.
